Dr. Jasmine Moghissi was born in Karlsruhe, Germany, and immigrated to the United States as a toddler. She has lived all over the US, and moved to the Washington, DC area in the 1970’s. She attended the University of Virginia as an undergraduate. In 1988 she received her Doctorate of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She completed her internship at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, and her residency at Fairfax Family Practice Center, a VCU School of Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Moghissi has been teaching medical students from various medical schools since completing her residency in 1991. She is board certified in Family Practice, and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Medical Society of Northern Virginia.
After being in group practice in Northern Virginia for eleven years, she opened her solo practice in 2002. She felt that in a small practice she would be better able to serve her patients in a personalized manner. She elected to join Privia Medical Group in 2014 to allow her to continue to offer her patients the advantages of a small practice while having the advantage of a larger infrastructure.
On a personal level, Dr. Moghissi has lived in Vienna since 1988, is married, and has two adult children. She plays viola in the Reston Community Orchestra along with local chamber groups, classical piano, does needlework, knits, and is interested in almost everything.
Esra Gokturk, a board-certified nurse practitioner, received her nursing degree from George Mason University in 1990 and a Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University in 1993 where she graduated number one in her class with honors and received the Dean’s award. In addition to her extensive clinical education and experience, she continues to serve as a Clinical Preceptor for the graduate nursing programs.
She joined Dr. Moghissi in 2018 where she works in collaboration with other providers. As a certified nurse practitioner, she manages the healthcare needs of patients through adolescence to adulthood. In addition, she provides our patients with educational training for the management of diabetes and osteoporosis.
She lives in Virginia with her family and enjoys both international and local travel.
Diana Hunt, FNP, RN is a graduate of the Molloy College School of Nursing located in Rockville Centre, New York. She achieved her undergraduate nursing education and work experience in the New York City metro area, where she was born and raised. Diana has extensive experience working with patients of all ages in Primary Care, Urgent Care and long-term care settings. She is compassionate and dedicated to helping her patients achieve their individualized health goals.
Diana is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and two young children. When not at work, she enjoys running, dancing, hiking, cooking and traveling.
Vanne Salinger FNP, RN is a graduate of Marymount University as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She brings with her experiences in Adult, Pediatric, and GI Nursing. She enjoys meeting our patients and forming a healthy lasting relationship. When not at work Vanne loves going to museums, traveling and reading. She lives with her two kids and her dog.
Misty Tax, FNP-C has been with our practice part time since 2008. She is a graduate from Marymount University's nurse practitioner program. Her nursing career spans 28 years and includes a BSN from the University of South Florida and a Master's degree from George Mason University as a clinical specialist. Misty has worked in the intensive care unit at the hospital as well as in home health, skilled rehab facilities, infectious disease and as clinical faculty at George Mason and Marymount Universities.
Misty has had clinical experience as a nurse practitioner in this office and retail clinic experience. She is certified to treat patients of all ages.
Misty lives in Falls Church with her husband. She enjoys indoor cycling and trips to the beach to see her adult children.
Phones will be answered from 8 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays. We are not currently offering weekend hours. Providers are generally available for appointments at the follow times:
Monday 8:30am – 5:00 pm
Tuesday 8:30am – 5:00 pm
Wednesday 8:30am – 5:00 pm
Thursday 8:30am – 5:00 pm
Friday 8:30am – 4:00 pm
We also have evening hours once a week from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Although we are flexible and will try to accommodate the needs of our patients, we prefer that all patients be seen by appointment. We open at 8:30 am weekdays and close between noon and 8:00 pm depending on the day.
When the office is closed, Dr. Moghissi carries her cell phone to handle emergencies. When she is on vacation, or on weekends, another local family practitioner may be covering for her. If you have an emergency that requires a doctor's advice, please call the office to get the number for the doctor on call.
Patients are welcome to communicate and ask questions of the doctor via the Athena portal. If she feels that the problem is too complicated to take care of via the portal, she will ask you to come in for an office visit. Dr. Moghissi does have an email address which you may use for questions which are not medically related.
Please do not email Dr. Moghissi with medical questions as federal law prohibits her from discussing protected health information via unencrypted email. All medical questions can only be handled through the portal.
Dr. Moghissi does not check her email or the portal on weekends or when she is out of the office. Please do not send urgent questions through the portal or via email, it is better to call.
Dr. Moghissi notifies her patients of all test results, even if normal. If you have abnormal test results you will be asked to come back in for an appointment to discuss your results, at which time we will review your treatment plan and issue any orders required for further treatment and additional testing.
Our providers will give you enough medication until you are due for a follow up appointment. If you are running low on a prescription, please call our office and set up an appointment.
We participate with most insurance plans, click here for a list of insurers or call us with your specific questions. Please bring insurance information (including your insurance card) to each visit. We accept payment in the form of cash, check, MC, VISA or Discover. Payment for the office visit and/or co-pay and any previous balances will be collected at the time of service.
We care about your privacy, and our office adheres to federal guidelines laid out in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regarding patient confidentiality.
The office is located on Lee Highway (Route 29) in the Circle Towers Office Building (in front of the Circle Towers Apartments). From I-66 take Nutley south. At 29/Lee Highway (across from Pan Am shopping center) take a right. The building will be on the left. If you get to Blake Lane/Pickett Street, you've gone too far. There is parking in front and to either side. The office is located in Suite 302 on the third floor.
