In December of 2008 the FDA issued a warning about weight loss products that have unapproved, untested or dangerous ingredients. In January the list was expanded to 69. This just reinforces the fact that the weight loss industry is completely unregulated and uncontrolled, and that you can’t always trust what’s on the label. And, as a corollary , just because it says “herbal” or “natural” does not mean it is safe.
